New Library Management System Launched

Aiming to stay aligned with the ongoing technological developments and cater to the modern library users’ requirements, the library has implemented a new library management system (Alma), a next-generation Library Services Platform by Ex Libris. 

             Alma is a globally recognized and premium solution, widely adopted by many of the world’s top-ranked universities and research institutions, including Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard University and University of Oxford. A key feature of Alma is its powerful discovery interface, Primo, which provides a unified, Google-like search experience. Through Primo, users can search the library’s print and electronic collections, including databases, using a single search box. It helps users know the availability status of the print collection, download e-content, apply advanced filters, save searches, etc.  These features make discovering, accessing, and managing academic resources more efficient, intuitive, and user-friendly.
