Testimonials

  • LUMS

The Library has remained infective throughout the pandemic. It never locked down. With its digital footprint and reach, the LUMS library has kept on welcoming virtual and physical visitors. I believe the Library is a big catharsis in our lives and would love to see its contagious positivity spread far and wide, even outside the University.

    Dr. Muhammad Sabieh Anwar
Dean, Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering
  • LUMS

The Library is very well-resourced with an impressive collection of materials related to South Asia and Pakistan. The staff is extraordinarily helpful and knowledgeable, going above and beyond to assist with research, teaching, and learning.

    Dr. Shayan Rajani
Assistant Professor, Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences
  • LUMS

I have been borrowing books with great ease, sometimes requesting the Library to arrange for books issued to others, both faculty and students. I asked the staff to download books and articles for me, which was done promptly. I have had an excellent experience with the library staff.

    Dr. Mohammad Waseem
Visiting Faculty, Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences
  • LUMS

I have been truly impressed with the helpfulness and dedication of the library staff. They have been instrumental in helping me find several difficult to acquire books and have always responded extremely quickly when I have requested help accessing particular articles! They were also very helpful in guiding me through the complicated ISSN registration process.

    Dr. Gwendolyn Sarah Kirk
Assistant Professor, Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences
  • LUMS

I am very satisfied with the service and cooperation of the staff in Library. Particularly during the Covid-19 time, as I get things even when it is late in the evening or weekend. I get things very quickly, and I congratulate all of you for this help and cooperation.

LUMS Library services did a phenomenal job during the COVID 19. When we were forced to lock ourselves at home by the pandemic and offer online courses, the LUMS library services offered the life line. They were always there, efficient as supportive as ever. I cannot imagine working from home without the prompt responses and the timely resources they supplied. Kudos to them for a phenomenal job at a very trying and difficult time. Well done !!!

    Dr. Tayyaba Tamim
Associate Professor, Syed Ahsan Ali and Syed Maratib Ali School of Education
  • LUMS

I just wanted to say the library services during Covid-19 were the most helpful thing at the University for me. It would have been literally impossible for me coming in as a new faculty member to have made the transition so well without the patient advice I have been offered along the way for in-person and digital acess. In addition, the library has been incredibly supportive with the books I have requested, and made every effort to find soft and hard copies for me. My students benefit tremendously from the readings I am able to share with them for this reason, as does my research work. Thank you so much for all that you do!!

    Dr. Soufia Anis Siddiqi
Assistant Professor, Syed Ahsan Ali and Syed Maratib Ali School of Education
  • LUMS

The library’s collection and its supportive staff is one of the best things at LUMS. The staff is keen to support faculty’s teaching and research by acquiring books and articles in addition to helping with photocopying and scanning. I have always been delighted by the positive attitude of library’s staff and their shared love of books and knowledge. It is a sanctuary that is well preserved. In the times of Covid-19 Pandemic, they have demonstrated that they are essential workers whom we have been taking for granted. The library and the people who work here are an invaluable asset of LUMS.

    Mr. Aurangzeb Haneef
Teaching Fellow, Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences
  • LUMS

Personally, I have been quite happy with the services provided by the Library. The staff has been very courteous and cooperative. The Library has also procured books on my request within a few weeks. So, overall excellent work despite budget constraints in recent years. Please keep it up.

Eight years at LUMS and I have always felt extremely well-supported by the LUMS Library facilities as well as its staff. The colleagues at the library have been stars: prompt, polite, professional, and always going out of the way to assist me and my students – may it be locating resources.

    Dr. Zehra Waheed
Assistant Professor, Suleman Dawood School of Business
  • Ghazal

Our librarians at LUMS are wonderful - always prompt, always polite, and always resourceful. I have never been disappointed, whether it's about a request I've made for a book or article, I could not find in the catalog, or I needed any of the services the Library offers such as the similarity.

Associate Professor, Suleman Dawood School of Business
